Bio

Tanaville is a producer based in South Florida, from East Orange, New Jersey. He began making tracks on Playstation when his best friend introduced him to MTV's Music Generator, a game that allowed you to create your own audio masterpieces. The two would compete against each other to see who could recreate the sounds of their idol, Timbaland.

Once they mastered recreating the syncopated patterns of Timbaland's intricate style, they each ventured into making their own beats, with their own developed style. Throughout high school, the two would challenge each other to see who's sound had developed best and what new tricks they had discovered. The pair took challenges very seriously, engaging in private beat competitions amongst friends and other developing producers around the city. Tana himself took the idea of being a prolific producer more seriously than many thought though. After high school he attempted to enroll himself in school at The Institute of Audio Research. He did not successfully complete enrollment and instead ventured off from East Orange and moved to Virginia Beach.

There he was totally new. Fresh into adulthood at 18, no friends or family and a new city and state, and in the military! Not only that, but he had no catalog..no equipment, no technical knowledge of music production no network. Just a hope and a stack full of Playstation memory cards with about 20 beats. 2 copies of Music Generator and a PS2. In fact, one of the 1st studio sessions he was ever invited to, he brought along a portable PS2 and his memory cards. The tracks on the PS2 amazed the room..but he was unable to transpose the tracks or recreate them using the pro equipment.

Tana vowed to spend his entire enlistment in the military perfecting his craft and set a goal that by the time his time in the military was done, he'd be ready to take his production to the next level.

Tana moved from Virginia Beach after a 5 year stint to Orlando, Florida to attend Full Sail University. By this time, he'd taken what he learned the hard way and applied it to this new chapter. By the time he arrived in Orlando, he'd gotten his knowledge of production way up by simply staying in studios and learning the craft by watching and studying those involved in the scene around him. He somehow finessed his way into studio sessions with the likes of Bone Thugs N Harmony members and a plethora of local acts stemming from NYC all the way down to Atlanta and across to Texas. Tana was starting to no longer be known as 'that nigga that be dunkin'n' to 'that nigga with the BEATS!'

Tanaville is a moniker picked up while in Florida. It's been said that his sound puts you in a place relative to a parallel universe..that parallel universe is filled with odd sounds and ideas that are not of this world. The inspiration for the melodies comes from a space that can only be described as....some Tanaville shit.
